Intex Technologies is a 12-year-old IT Hardware, Mobile Phones and Electronics company, headquartered at New Delhi. It has a pan-India presence through its own network of 3 mother-warehouses, 28 branches, 2 regional offices, 62 service centres and 38 Service franchisees.

Brand 'Intex' covers 08 business segments- Computer Peripherals, PC, GSM Mobile Phones, Entertainment Electronics, Power Electronics, In-Car Accessories, Retail and Enterprise Business. It has built for itself a high credibility amongst its vast network of channel partners and several million satisfied end users by offering value-for-money quality products supported by effective service and a consistent policy of transparent, fair and ethical dealings.

The business segments cover a portfolio of 26 Product Groups spread across 300 products including Computer Peripherals, Desktops, Notebooks, TFT-LCD monitors, GSM Mobile phones, DVD players, Home Theatre Systems, Subwoofers, Headphones, Web Cameras and Home UPS to name just a few. In several product groups such as Speakers/Subwoofers, UPS, Keyboard, Mouse, Add-on cards, etc, the company enjoys a leading market share in many states in India.

Sales are routed through a channel network comprising of 1000+ distributors and 12,000+ dealers spread across the country. Through its retail business vertical, Intex products are positioned at 81 dedicated counters of reputed chains of hyper markets and specialty stores.

Intex's manufacturing domain comprises of two manufacturing units belonging to the Group and located at Jammu & Nalagarh (HP) and operational since 2004 & 2007, respectively. The units have been producing desktops, multimedia speakers, UPS, Home UPS, PCBs and SMPS.

During the last 6 financial years, the company has achieved a CAGR of 47 % as compared with industry annual growth rate of about 25-30%. Turnover increased from Rs. 32 crore in 2001-02 to Rs. 333 crore in 2007-08. Our aggressive growth journey has been recognised by reputed IT trade journals, consumers and channel partners through various rankings and awards received over the years. Some recent highlights are:
  • Ranked 104 amongst the 200 fastest growing IT(hardware & Software) companies in India by Data Quest (July, 2007)
  • 'Special Commendation' medal from Indian Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) in IT & Electronics category at India International Trade Fair (IITF) -2007.
  • 'Best Buy' Award for Intex Platinum PC in Digit (September, 2007)
  • ''Best Buy Silver' Award for Intex mobile phone- Infi in Digit (May, 2007)
  • Cyber Media's 'Highly Recommended' award in reputed IT magazine PC Quest, for
    • Intex Notebook Performer 032 DW (April, 2007)
    • Intex Gold PC (Feb, 2006)
  • Intex 029 CD Notebook was ranked 4th amongst 9 players in annual analysis - 'Budget Notebooks' carried out by PC Quest (August, 2006). The notebook got second rank and was the only one (along with the winner) which had no negative points.
  • Intex's PC and TFT LCD monitors were ranked 2nd in the popular annual 'Bhoomi Brand' awards organised by 360 magazine (August, 2006)
In pursuit of its goal to reach Rs. 600 cr. by March 2009, the brand has been growing beyond computer peripherals for some time now. Over the last 1-2 years, Intex has expanded its product offerings by adding more products with an end-user interface such as Desktop PCs, Notebooks, TFT-LCD Monitors, DVD Players, Home Theatre Systems, Home UPS, GSM Mobile Phones and In-Car Accessories (Audio –Video, etc.)

Intex is ISO 9001:2000 certified. All India operations covering sales and service are managed on an in-house developed ERP solution which will be soon replaced by SAP- a world-class collaborative business solution. Project 'PARIVARTAN' for implementing SAP is under execution in association with Birlasoft. Along with SAP, Intex's own Virtual Private Network roll out has also begun.

ITIL has a strong Technical Department in Delhi which is well-equipped with modern facilities and highly qualified engineers looking after product development, specifications, benchmarking, quality up-gradation, technology development and scanning, etc. This activity ensures that state-of-the-art products are offered as per the latest global standards.


Very recently Intex has also tied up with a boutique advertising agency in Mumbai to draw up its all-India campaign for ATL and BTL activities based on the concept- 'Life Version 2.0'. It's about the human aspiration to experience future and live life which nobody has lived before. A concept of independent brand managers for each business vertical has also been put into action. They will be responsible for implementing strategies to gain higher market visibility, acceptability and market share.

One of the most valuable assets of the company is its team of more than 964 employees with over 5000 man years of experience. The strength has increased by 6 times in 6 years. The average age of an Intex employee is 30 years. Intex acknowledges the support and co-operation provided to the company by its dedicated network of channel partners and the hard work of its employees.
